Who gave you your first opportunity?

Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a desire to help others around me.

Whether it was at age 5 when I got my own radio show where each week I would share a story with children and teach them a sing-along, or gathering kids in the neighborhood to teach them mathematics or dance, or even through high school and university, you would find me teaching, helping, encouraging, or leading a team.

As a young entrepreneur, my sisters and I sold various products and services that made people happy and helped them live better lives.

Although my parents hoped for a boy, I was born as the 4th girl and lastborn of the family. At a very early age, I could discern the privileges the boy-child seemed to have compared to girls. I could feel the injustice and societal expectations levied on women and girls. I was privileged to have parents who loved, educated, and empowered my sisters and I but grew up with many who did not have such opportunities.

My dream is to see every girl and woman FREE to dream, FREE to rise up and be whoever they want to be, and EMPOWERED to support their families and communities because when you educate a girl, you build a nation. A wealthy and influential woman creates a wealthy community and empowered future. I am always looking for partners, volunteers, collaborators, and givers. Together, we can support the UN SDGs #5, #8, and #15 creating an equal and empowered society. Below are some of the ways I show care.

The Trailblazer Femme Network

At the start of the pandemic, I cofounded and launched TRAILBLAZER FEMME. On this digital leadership development platform, we helped over 1,000 women of color virtually and about 50 mid to senior-level professional women of color enrolled in our premium membership programs to build their confidence and expand their influence, income, and impact at work and in-life through a science-backed curriculum, coaching, and community. With many employees and leaders losing jobs during the pandemic, our mission was to be the go-to support for career women who want to live boldly at work and in life. This we did brilliantly for 3 YEARS. As a result, many of our members got promoted, got international roles, negotiated better salaries and flexible working benefits, and upskilled themselves with several certifications, and 8 became co-authors with us when we launched the book. LIVING BOLDLY.

The Girl Courageous Initiatives

Across Nigeria and West Africa, through my books and educational scholarships, we regularly organize initiatives that empower girls ages 8-16 through leadership skills, physical health workshops, and mental wellbeing. My book “Girl Courageous” sold over 3,000 copies and was distributed to several schools nationwide.

Women Entrepreneurship Initiatives

Over a space of 10 years, my team of volunteers and consultants provided skill acquisition training and workshops for aspiring female entrepreneurs and widows through partnerships with orphanages, widows society, and small business owners in small communities across Nigeria.

Campus Ginger Initiatives

Also, during the peak of the 2020-2022 COVID pandemic, with several universities and colleges closed across the African continent, my mission was to continue to motivate and educate African-based UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS & YOUNG PROFESSIONALS on resilience with a focus on living on purpose, dreaming gigantic dreams, and becoming well-rounded leaders of the future in a chosen career field. I built a team of mentors and mentees who provided coaching and counseling to over 150 Gen Zs across a 6-12 months period. At the end of the mentoring cycle, the mentees embarked on a pay-it-forward community project.
